Our Executive Leadership
President & Chief Executive Officer
Under Kevin’s leadership, Lightserve Corporation has intensified its focus on serving its customers and communities via our distribution, project design, installation, and maintenance services. Before becoming CEO in 2016, Kevin served as the Director of Customer Facing Operations at Duke Energy. He led groups responsible for residential, commercial, and industrial energy efficiency.
Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and finance from North Carolina State University where he graduated as university valedictorian.
A native of North Carolina, Kevin resides in Concord, NC with his wife, Erin, two sons, Caleb and Graham, and two dogs, Sadie and Brody. In his free time, Kevin coaches two competitive youth soccer teams and enjoys playing golf and taking family trips to the beach.
Chief Business Officer
As Chief Business Officer Bill’s role is to leverage his extensive experience and knowledge to drive business development, lead strategic initiatives, and maintain key industry relationships for Lightserve. He joined the lighting industry in 1987 and has an extensive background in the manufacturing and distributor aspects of the business, as well as previous ownership in another lighting company. Bill has helped transform Lightserve from a maintenance-only company into a well-diversified lighting maintenance, retrofit and distribution company. Bill’s role now includes mentoring the next generation of lighting and electrical team members, as Lightserve is now uniquely positioned for continued growth and for the attraction of high-caliber talent. Bill is driven to find innovative solutions that meet the challenges facing our customers in today’s ever-changing lighting and electrical industry.
Bill is LC, CLEP and CLMC certified. Bill received his BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later received his MBA from The University of South Carolina.
Bill lives in Charlotte with his wife Robin and has one son, Grant, who also works at Lightserve. In his free time Bill enjoys exercise, golf, tennis, church and spending time with family and friends.
Chief Financial Officer
As CFO of Lightserve Jason manages bank and investor relationships and is responsible for structuring acquisitions to ensure maximum financial flexibility, enabling a measured risk growth strategy.
Prior to purchasing Lightserve, Jason worked in Debt Capital Markets at Wells Fargo Securities and Fifth Third Securities from August 2005 to June 2016. While in Debt Capital Markets, Jason structured project finance credit facilities for solar construction companies, monitored a multi-billion collateralized debt security portfolio offered to large utility clients and originated, structured, and executed various fixed income securities in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications, and Industrial Growth sectors. Since 2012, Jason has made significant investments in real estate and other venture capital opportunities. Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from North Carolina State University.
Jason lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Samantha and two young daughters, Eloise and London. Jason enjoys traveling with his family and occasionally playing dress up with his girls.
Our Senior Leadership
Vice President of IT
As Vice President of IT, Rick is responsible for the strategic alignment of technology to meet the needs of Lightserve and our customers while maintaining a stable and secure infrastructure. He is a 30-year+ veteran of the IT industry and has worked in all aspects of IT, including networking, software engineering and development. Rick has served in numerous roles over his tenure which include Programmer/Systems Analyst, IT Manager, Senior Web Developer and Senior Product Development Engineer. Rick has contributed to the IT community by co-leading the largest eCommerce solution for the Joomla CMS for 2 years, and he co-founded the Mid-Atlantic Macola Users Group.
Rick has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University.
Rick grew up in south central Pennsylvania and lives with his wife, Bobbi Jo, and children, Nicholas and Joshua. Rick enjoys the outdoors and spending time at Pennsylvania’s lakes and mountains.
Vice President of Strategic Initiatives
Grant joined Lightserve as the Director of Strategic Initiatives in 2021. Grant is responsible for developing and putting plans and goals into action that align with the vision, objectives, and overall strategy of the company as well as advancing the company’s short- and long-term goals. Additionally, he is responsible for facilitating and leading assigned strategic initiatives that will aid in creating efficiencies, growing revenue, and mitigating risks. Grant spent 6 years with DHG Corporate Finance and Fifth Third Securities gaining valuable experience in acquisition, divestiture, capital raising, and consulting across a range of industries, including: transportation and logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, business services, paper and packaging, and lodging and leisure.
Grant graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Finance.
Grant grew up in Charlotte and was married to Elizabeth in August 2021. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, and playing golf.
Vice President, Strategic Customer Sales
Tim is responsible for developing business with key strategic customers, with a particular focus on driving national opportunities for Lightserve. Prior to Lightserve he worked with Satco Inc to build and develop their national specification sales organization, but throughout most of his 35+ year career he held senior executive roles at OSRAM SYLVANIA (now Ledvance, LLC), a global leader in the manufacturing lighting products. While at OSRAM SYLVANIA, he led the Commercial Markets organization, which was team of National Account Managers, Commercial Engineers and Vertical Marketing Specialists charged with selling to corporate end users in the US and Canada. His prior roles at OSRAM SYLVANIA include region and district sales management and Marketing Price and Policy Operations.
Tim graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Economics & Government and completed the rigorous year-long Executive Management Program at Cornell University’s Global Management Institute (GMI).
A native Californian, Tim now lives in Greenville, SC with his wife, Debbie of 36 years. He has participated in many road races over the years and is a former track and field “All American” while at Notre Dame.
Vice President of Finance
As Vice President of Finance Jodi oversees the finance and accounting teams, including AR, AP, financial reporting, operational analytics, and sales tax. In addition to monitoring Lightserve’s financial strength and developing financial reports for the organization, she works closely with external accountants and financial institutions. Prior to joining Lightserve Jodi spent five years at McGladrey, a public accounting firm, and managed the accounting team for the largest division of a publicly traded medical supplies conglomerate. She enjoys sharing her financial and business expertise and mentoring team members to help develop the next generation of leaders.
Jodi earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA from Frostburg State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jodi grew up in western Maryland and currently lives in northeast Ohio with her husband Eric and their two daughters. Her hobbies include reading, visiting the zoo, and spending time with her girls and Eric, as well as their extended families.
Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Operations Robyn oversees the project management and managed services teams and is responsible for companywide safety programs, quality control processes and field labor deployment. She joined Illumetek (now Lightserve) in 2014 in the business development department and became an integral part of the company’s leadership team in a few short years. Prior to joining Lightserve, Robyn spent 15 years honing her logistics, operations, and quality control skills at Roadway Express/YRC. Robyn has a passion for improving operational efficiencies and strengthening strategic relationships to help create remarkable experiences for Lightserve’s customers and industry partners.
Robyn earned a Bachelor of Business Administration/Finance degree from Kent State University and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Robyn is a lifetime native of Ohio and enjoys spending her free time hiking and being outdoors. She also loves the beach, and her ideal vacation is with family near the ocean with her toes in the sand!
Vice President of Business Growth Strategies
James Pulk is the former owner and founder of Illumetek Corp. and has more than forty years of lighting and electrical experience, mostly with national multi-location clients. As VP of Business Growth Strategies at Lightserve, Jim focuses his energies on new business development.
James is a graduate of the University of Akron, where he sits on the Foundation Board and The President’s Advisory Board.
Jim and his wife Julie are involved with numerous charitable organizations. They have five adult children and four grandchildren.
Our Department Leadership
Service Division Manager
Megan is the Service Division Manager and is based out of the Ohio office – she has been with the company since 2011. She joined Illumetek Corp (now Lightserve) after a friend told her about how well the company treats their employees and about the great relationships they have with their labor partners, vendors, and customers. Megan oversees a team of ten Customer Account Coordinators in the reactive service department and enjoys helping them problem solve and find ways to increase customer satisfaction. She leads by example, diving in to assist her team and customers directly whenever needed.
Megan graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies.
Megan has a passion for the outdoors– including golf courses, where you’ll often find her in her free time (weather permitting). She also loves doing things around the house and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
Maintenance Division Manager
Sarah is the Maintenance Division Manager and is based out of the Ohio office. She joined Illumetek Corp (now Lightserve) in 2009 as a Service Coordinator and has served in various roles within the Managed Services team since that time. Sarah leads a team of four Customer Account Coordinators and two Customer Support Coordinators who collectively run the Maintenance Programs. She is accountable for ensuring that the programs are executed to meet the customer’s needs and exceed their expectations, and for identifying potential process improvements and eliminating inefficiencies. Sarah is also responsible for the Managed Service’s internal labor and warehouse in Raleigh.
Sarah earned an Associate degree in Business Administration in 2007.
In her free time Sarah likes to read, work out, and most of all hang out with her daughter. She used to play roller derby, and to this day still loves roller skating.
Director of Project Management
Steve is the Director of Project Management and is based in the Stow, OH office. He has been part of the Operations group for 14 years, overseeing projects ranging from large single site installations to multi-site national rollouts.
Steve earned an Associate degree in Criminal Justice Technology from the University of Akron in 1997.
Steve was raised in Akron, OH and settled in Kent, OH when he and his wife, LeAnn, were married. He and LeAnn have two children. He enjoys vacationing with his family, detailing cars, and playing golf.
Director of Human Resources
Roni Racco serves as the Director of Human Resources with Lightserve Corporation and is responsible for on- and off-boarding employees, payroll, employee benefits including 401K, and many other Human Resource functions. Roni joined Illumetek Corp (now Lightserve) in 1998 and worked in Accounts Payable and Billing, eventually progressing into the position of Accounting Manager with HR duties. In 2012 she was elevated to Director of Human Resources. Prior to joining Illumetek, Roni held an accounting position with Lumberjacks Creative Building Centre and was a loan processor for Fidelity Financial Services.
Roni grew up in the “North Hill” area of Akron, Ohio. She married Vince Racco in 2002 and they have an adult daughter (Alexandra), and 2 Devon Rex cats, (Brittani and Mr. Bean). She enjoys spending time with family, boating, biking, target shooting, and vacationing at many of the gulf shore beaches in Southwest Florida.
Director of Regional Operations
As the Director of Regional Operations Kristen oversees Lightserve’s lighting distribution team, regional projects, and the Charlotte and Raleigh warehouses. Kristen first joined the lighting industry in 2007 at Nova Lighting and served in various roles, including account manager, inside sales, rebate specialist, national accounts, and project manager. She joined the Lightserve team in 2000. At Lightserve she leads a team of three account managers, two inside support specialists, and four warehouse personnel.
Kristen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University.
Originally from Northern Virginia, Kristen and her husband now live in Charlotte, NC. She has two grown children and cherishes time spent with them and enjoys reading, baking, travelling and volunteering.
Director of Marketing and Industry Relations
As Director of Marketing and Industry Relations Doug is charged with developing the overall marketing strategy for Lightserve, managing vendor relationships, and serving as the liaison for various trade associations and industry organizations. He is a 38+ year veteran of the lighting industry, having spent 10 years with GE, 20 years with Philips (Signify) and 6 years with Voss Lighting prior to joining Lightserve. Doug served in numerous roles over that stretch of time, including sales, product manager, marketing manager and trainer. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for both NALMCO (interNational Association of Lighting Management Companies) and NAILD (National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors), and has served on the Certification, Program and Communication Committees at NALMCO.
Doug earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and an MBA from University of Dallas-Graduate School of Management.
Doug grew up in Hendersonville, NC and has been married to Corinne since 1988 –they have three children (Nick, Katlyn, and Brynn). They love hiking and kayaking and hanging out with their grown children whenever they get the chance!
Director of Safety & Quality Control
As the Director of Safety & Quality Control, Rob oversees the internal technicians and external labor partners to ensure that the company’s installation standards and safety procedures are being followed and that our customers’ expectations for quality and safety are exceeded. He joined Lightserve in 2019 as a Project Manager and in two years assumed the role of Director. Prior to joining Lightserve, Rob was Self Employed for 20 years as an Electrical Contractor and specialized in lighting retrofits and LED installations.
Rob earned an Associate Degree in Occupational Science/ Electrical Construction from Hudson Valley Community College in NY in 1991.
Rob grew up in Schenectady, NY and now lives in Waxhaw, NC with his wife Dawn and their two sons. He enjoys working on cars with his sons and goes to the beach every chance the family gets.
Director of Customer Engineering
As the Director of Customer Engineering Jason works hand in hand with the sales and project teams throughout Lightserve. He plays a critical role in the development and execution of Lightserve’s maintenance programs and upgrade projects. Jason spent a couple of years working for Lightserve in a subcontractor capacity, and officially joined the company in 2003 where he has served in multiple roles throughout his tenure.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied History from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, and played 4 years of Collegiate baseball (team captain during senior year).
Jason was born and raised in Akron, OH and returned there after college. He was married in 2004 to Katie, and his greatest joy comes from spending time with her and their daughter Zoey. They enjoy traveling to beaches and mountains, and Jason has been known to squeeze a few rounds of golf in from time to time.
